Description

New Pokémon Snap is a game that puts photography at the center of a Pokémon adventure on the Nintendo Switch. You don’t battle or catch Pokémon like in games. Instead you go on a journey through the Lental region in a vehicle called the NEO-ONE. Your job is to observe Pokémon in the wild and take photos for Professor Mirror’s research.

There are no battles and no Gym Leaders to challenge. You are not building a team to fight. You are a Pokémon photographer doing research. You travel to environments watch how Pokémon behave in their natural surroundings and aim to capture the best possible pictures. It’s about seeing, waiting and snapping the perfect shot.

Story New Pokémon Snap

The main New Pokémon Snap story is about an Illumina phenomenon that can be found all over the Lental region. Some Pokémon and plants seem to glow with energy. Professor Mirror is studying the Illumina phenomenon. He needs photographs and observations from different places.

I work with Professor Mirror and his research team as we explore the region. With each step I learn more, about the Illumina phenomenon.
