Description

Frostrail Playtest is the test version of Frostrail from FakeFish. The game mixes first‑person combat, survival crafting, exploring, resource management, horror and building trains or bases in a post‑apocalyptic world.

Players become Penitent Gardeners who travel north on the Eden Engine, a steam‑powered train. The train is more, than a ride: the train serves as the player’s shelter, storage area crafting hub, heat source and mobile base.

Story and Setting

I remember the world of Frostrail as a place once ruled by an empire.

I watched everything change when the Emperor made a pact, with the Void. The land was then swallowed by a cold and it left ruins and corrupted creatures behind.The players are Penitent Gardeners. They travel north across this wasteland aboard the Eden Engine.
