Description

Cybattler Switch is now officially available as Arcade Archives CYBATTLER. This retro arcade action shooter was first. Released by Jaleco in 1993. The Nintendo Switch version was brought to players by HAMSTER under the Arcade Archives series. Went live digitally on February 18 2021. I remember playing the original on machines so seeing it on Switch feels very special.

Cybattler places you inside the prototype Game mech, Blanche. Thrusts you into space battles, against a mysterious military force. I like how Game mixes eight- shooting with close-range beam-sword attacks. That combination makes the gameplay feel fresh and exciting.

Gameplay Explained

I love playing Cybattler. Game feels like an arcade shooter but it really focuses on moving, positioning ranged attacks and close combat.

When I play Game I steer Blanche across space‑based battlefields watching enemies come from all sides. Lets me shoot in eight directions, which’s a big difference from other shooters that only fire, in one direction.
