Description

Celeste feels like a 2D precision platformer that takes you up the mysterious game Mountain while you face personal fears and doubt. Maddy Makes Games made Celeste and Celeste mixes sharp movement with a story that pulls at your heart.

The basic controls look easy: jump, dash in the air and climb walls.. Game adds more and more tricky puzzles around these moves. I have to pair Celestes movement skills with timing to avoid danger, land, on platforms and find secret spots.

Story and Premise

Madelines physical journey gradually become connected to Madelines struggles. During the climb I watch Madeline encounter a manifestation of Madeline herself commonly known as Badeline as well, as several other characters.The game Mountain becomes both an obstacle and a representation of Madelines emotional challenges.
