Description

The Flame in the Flood is a survival adventure game that is built around a hard idea: keep moving down a dangerous river that is made by the computer each time. The Flame in the Flood asks you to watch food, water, heat, tiredness, gear and danger from animals all the time. The Flame in the Flood mixes survival crafting, exploring and game parts that change with every play.

The river is basically the world in The Flame in the Flood. In The Flame in the Flood you move from one stretch of land and water to the next stopping at spots to pick up supplies, hunt make gear, rest and heal before you go further down.

Flood Story and Premise

The story follows Scout and her dog as they move through a wild landscape.Scout picks up a radio signal. Decides to follow it down the river. Her path takes her empty towns and through harsh dangerous places.

The way the story unfolds is quiet and subtle. The game doesn’t rely on cutscenes or big speeches. Instead the world reveals itself slowly—through the environment moments, with other survivors the sound of the radio and the things left behind.Approach lets the player feel the uncertainty of the world of just giving a lot of explanation. Approach keeps the player immersed in uncertainty.
