Description

Shikhondo: Youkai Rampage is a fast 2D bullet-hell shooter made by DeerFarm and released by CFK Co., Ltd. The game came out on PC through Steam on April 17 2024. Then came to Nintendo Switch on May 29 2025. Shikhondo: Youkai Rampage mixes scrolling shooting with Youkai from Korean folklore. The game has anime visuals, tough boss fights and a Soul Collect system that makes you choose between safety and power.

You do not just run away from every bullet in Shikhondo: Youkai Rampage. Instead the game makes you want to take risks. If you stay close to enemy fire you fill up your Soul Gauge. This means that players who are good, at moving and timing can get better rewards by being brave.

Gameplay and Core Mechanics

The way you play the game is quite simple:

• Move your character around the screen.
• Avoid bullet patterns that get thicker as you go.
• Stay close to bullets when you can stay safe.
• Charge the Soul Gauge.
• Use your abilities. Dodge mechanics, at the right moment.
• Defeat. Pursue higher scores.

The real challenge comes from how you mix movement, positioning, enemy recognition and timing.
