Description

Aggelos is a game that looks back to the past with its 2D action-RPG and Metroidvania style. It was created by Storybird Games. Put out into the world by PQube. The game uses 16-bit style pixel art. Offers players a way to explore in a way that is not straight forward. There is fighting with weapons, magic powers, puzzles inside dungeons big fights, against bosses.

The game also takes ideas from Japanese adventure games, especially the ones that started with Wonder Boy. This can be seen in the mix of jumping looking for things making your gear stronger fighting enemies finding hidden things.

Aggelos Story and Premise

The tale unfolds inside the Kingdom of Lumen. The Kingdom of Lumen is in danger because creatures from another dimension are coming. The Kingdom of Lumen used to be calm and safe. Now a big attack is happening. The protagonist meets Princess Lys on. The Kingdom of Lumens crisis pulls the protagonist and Princess Lys together.

After that the protagonist decides to search for magical items. The protagonist will use those items to fight the forces that threaten the Kingdom of Lumen. This narrative stays simple unlike modern games that love long dialogue. Aggelos keeps the focus on exploring, fighting, jumping and finding.
