Elden Ring: Tarnished Edition takes place in the Lands Between, a dark fantasy world created by Hidetaka Miyazaki and FromSoftware with mythology developed in collaboration, with George R. R. Martin.

Story and Premise

Elden Ring: Tarnished Edition has been. The Lands Between are now in conflict. Queen Marika the Eternal once ruled the realm. Her demigod children fought over pieces of the shattered Elden Ring, each holding a Great Rune.

Their battles helped cause the Shattering. You are one of the Tarnished, a person who was cast out but has come back, to the Lands Between. Guided by Grace you must face foes gather Great Runes wander through the ruined world and at last seek to restore the Elden Ring.
