Description
Scarlet Skips is an indie action roguelike that revolves around one simple concept: skipping rope with only a single button.Developed and published by Yerk Games Scarlet Skips mixes timing‑based jumping with random roguelike upgrades.
The simple design is matched by a progression system. While a run is, in progress Scarlet Skips lets me level up and pick from three randomly shown power‑ups. Scarlet Skips currently offers ten cards and the upgrades can be stacked and combined to make many different setups.
Story and Premise
The games story is intentionally simple.Scarlet is described as being in a funk and the players objective is to help her “touch grass” and get outside. The developers frame the premise around taking things one jump at a time.
Than presenting a conventional RPG narrative with extensive dialogue, quests and character progression the premise provides a light context, for the games central activity: helping Scarlet keep jumping and improve her run.
