Description

Gleylancer is a 16-bit horizontal shoot ’em up that first came out for the Sega Mega Drive in Japan back in 1992. It mixes side-scrolling shooter action with a unique Gunner system letting players customize how two support weapons move and attack.

What makes Gleylancer stand out from shoot ’em ups is its focus on the Gunner support system. The player can control two satellite- weapons and decide exactly how they behave around the ship. This adds a layer of strategy, to the gameplay giving players control over their combat approach.

Gleylancer Story and Premise

The main character is Lucia Cabrock, a pilot and the daughter of Admiral Ken from the Earth Federation Navy. After her father vanishes during the war Lucia does not want to believe that he is lost.

Alongside her friend Teim she takes action on her own. Steals the new Gley Lancer fighter.Her goal is clear: find her father who is missing and stay alive while facing the enemies that are, in her way.
