Description

Serious Sam: Shatterverse is a co‑op roguelite first‑person shooter that mixes the classic run‑and‑gun action of the Serious Sam franchise with shifting runs alternate versions of Sam, powerful upgrades and multiplayer for, up to five players.

The basic formula stays familiar: first‑person shooting, groups of enemies fast movement, strafing, backpedaling, heavy weapons, explosions and arcade‑style combat. The major change is the roguelite run structure.

Story and Setting

Uber Mentals actions have torn apart the boundaries between universes. Because of this versions of Serious Sam from realities are now caught in the same battle. The Serious Sam: Shatterverse player steps into the Serious Program. Moves, through these unstable worlds fighting Uber Mentals forces and trying to fix mistakes that happened in other timelines.

The main Serious Sam: Shatterverse goal is to defeat five of Mentals lieutenants. Each one marks a step forward in the game’s story. This multiverse idea lets the developers show versions of Sam while still keeping the original character true to who he is.
